Surprise! Everyone Has One This Weekend...

I was planning on doing a soft post this weekend. Just a little background piece on the people and the culture of Jordan. It would seem everyone else and the universe itself had other ideas.

Zahir is leaving Monday for Iran.💩 He came home Thursday night with a smile telling me he had a surprise for me. I took his shoes off and he went to his favorite chair. I got him his beer and plopped in his lap so he could tell me his news. 👼

It was only then he said I would have to wait until the morning to get it. I felt cheated. Everyone wanted me to take a semester off school, I am taking three months. I am learning to cook and care for him. I know we have a housekeeper and she loves caring for us. Still, I should be able to feed him without putting him in the hospital.👅

I woke to find him dressed, and him bringing me breakfast in bed. We went to our favorite resort the Dead Sea. We had one last fun weekend away until he gets back from Tehran.

So here he got me all smooth, sexy, and horny then he is leaving me for a month... To me it is a serious logic disconnect.  I wish I could go with him. Z just says, "...too much risk for my baby." I know he is right.

It was a great couple days until we got home. We opened the door to our nest to discover shredded fabric and brown, green and white fluff and feathers all over the floor.👀 I knew what happened the dog got bored. When Zahir saw the feathers he sprinted up the stairs to check on Aya, she was fine. Z called Arba'ah who confirmed our baby was fed only two hours earlier and there was no damage.

I told you before about the malinois play-drive. They need play and exercise everyday or they get bored/stressed. Kaeleb apparently got stressed after his dinner and ate the sofa, throw pillows and Zahir & my snuggle chair. Specifically Zahir's side of the sofa and the chair he likes to read in.

It took Z and I two hours to clean it up, he had given the housekeeper the weekend off so it was all on us. I promised Zahir I would replace them before he returned. He smirked and said they were just things. Those pieces came with the house and we had no attachments. Next time he will come with us or stay with his brothers in the security room.

Then it was time for mama to surprise me. She learned how to make fried okra. Zahir told her of my food cravings and she called Stacy for her recipe. I honestly did not know okra was a huge export crop here. I wonder if mentioning I also love rhubarb and kohlrabi would be pushing it.

Now it is half past midnight and I cannot sleep. We are thirty minutes into our last day together. He will be at the office all day with the final prep-work. My heart is sore already, but I will be his good boy.
